Take your Bloody Mary to the next level by incorporating our Smoke & Spice tea rub. Smoke from Zheng Shan black tea alongside the heat from Korean Chili Salt add depth and complexity with a kick. We reached for Aquavit, a Scandinavian caraway-forward spirit, for more savory brunch cocktail experience.
5 oz. tomato juice
1.5 oz. Aquavit (we like Krogstad)
1 tbsp. Smoke & Spice
.25 oz. lime juice
.25 oz. lemon juice
.50 oz. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. freshly grated horseradish
Hot sauce of your choice to taste
Pour 2 tbsp. of Smoke & Spice onto a plate. Rim Collins or pint glass with sliced lime wedge and then dip evenly into spice rub. Next combine all ingredients into a shaker tin with ice and shake for 5 seconds to combine. Strain into rimmed glass filled with ice. Taste to evaluate level of heat and add more hot sauce or horseradish to your liking. Garnish with celery and citrus of your choice. Enjoy.
