In my top 3

I'm an oolong fan and this is definitely in my top 3 favorite oolongs. It's full-bodied and creamy, with a wonderful aroma. I brew western style (I'm lazy) and was able to get 2, sometimes 3 infusions.

What a lovely, fragrant tea this is. It's what I'm always looking for in a tea and almost never finding. It's so good, I can't bear to put anything in it (and I generally put milk and honey in all tea), and it's still great on the second steep! All that and woman-owned.

Reserve No. 301: The first tea in our 3rd Reserve Series.


For Western brewing, this tea can be brewed for single infusions using 3 grams of tea per 8 ounces of 190 degree water and steeped for three minutes.

For gaiwan brewing, place 7 grams of tea leaves into 150 ml (5 ounce) gaiwan. Bring spring or freshly drawn filtered water to a boil (212 degrees). Fill your gaiwan to the top and let the leaves steep for 10-20 seconds. Set the strainer on top of the decanter and pour the tea out of the gaiwan with the lid slightly askew, without allowing the tea leaves to escape. Serve into small cups and repeat this process at least 4-5 times and notice how the tea leaves change in flavor over each infusion. Learn more about gaiwan service here

Full Leaf Oolong Tea

This full leaf tea is located 1,800 meters in altitude, amongst a conifer forest near the Yu Shan National Park. The cool temperate mountain is shrouded in mist, which keeps the humidity high and reduces the time the tea trees have under the sun. This area has a very low tea yield because of its unique aspect and produces eloquent and subtle teas. This tea can be steeped several times and is enjoyed with both a traditional brew process or in gaiwan service.

Nantou County

Nantou County lies in the high-mountain tea region that runs down the geographical center of Taiwan. This region produces the famous high-mountain oolong teas, which are at least 1,000 meters high. Of the 15 tea-producing counties in Taiwan, Nantou is considered among the top in terms of production and has more than 8,000 hectares of tea plantations.
