We let Cinnamon Twist shine in this indulgent rice pudding, steeping the blend in milk before slowly cooking it with rice until thickened. The result is warm, spiced and impossibly satisfying.

Cinnamon Twist Rice Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 sachets Cinnamon Twist
  • 3 cups milk of your choice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup jasmine or other long-grain rice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Add the milk and Cinnamon Twist sachets to a small pot. Bring to a low simmer and heat gently for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and let steep for 1 hour. Discard the sachets.
  2. In a medium pot, combine the infused milk, water, rice, sugar and a pinch of salt. Simmer uncovered over medium-low heat until the rice is tender, about 25 to 30 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and cook for another 15 to 20 minutes, stirring constantly to help release the starches and prevent sticking. The pudding will look loose at this stage, but the liquid should coat the back of a spoon. It will continue to thicken as it cools.
  4. Remove from the heat and transfer the pudding to individual bowls or one large serving bowl. Refrigerate until completely cooled.
  5. Serve chilled or gently warmed. A light dusting of cinnamon is a nice finishing touch.
