Delicious round full bodied and very smooth

I tried this just to experiment as a change from my usual Portland Breakfast, Lord Bergamot and Masala Chai. I really liked it and just order a few 4oz loose leaf packages. Lovely. Gonna be a regular I think.

Another favorite

Portland breakfast has been my favorite tea, but all their teas I have tried I love. This one Assam is a new favorite for me and I have been drinking it more often than the others. The flavor is very rich plus it is also great with steamed milk which I enjoy.

Lovely tasty assam black tea

I have been drinking assam tea since a child, tea time (milk tea with tea sandwiches) was an everyday part of the afternoon in my family. So now, naturally tea became my drink of choice over coffee as an adult - and aftet searching and trying many grocery store brands, none live up to the quality, taste, finish, even effects on the body as THIS smith tea one. I have yet to try an assam straight from the source, but i would bet highly this is one of the finest i have even brewed up to 3 times with one serving, the quality of the leaves is so high, the taste is lovely and delicious!!! Everything one would hope for in a true assam black tea. Also makes the best iced tea imo.

Blend Numerology

Steve Smith's birth year and number of times he spent per day looking for his glasses.

For best flavor, bring spring or freshly drawn filtered water to a boil (212 degrees). Steep 1 rounded tsp (3 g) loose leaf for five minutes. A good time to practice the guitar.

Indian Black Tea

Assam tea is the biggest, brightest, richest and most astringent tea made. It is the backbone to breakfast style teas of nearly all brand and quality although it is also used in many blends for body and top notes. Assam is less floral and has more bread or biscuit-like flavor than other origins, and is often described as malty or coppery.

Assam Region

The Assam region is located in Northeast India, and borders Bhutan and Bangladesh. At near sea level, this region produces teas that are full flavored, rich, and chewy with distinct characteristics of caramel and malt. The best teas from this region are plucked and processed in June and July, a harvest also known as the 2nd Flush.
