First flush Darjeeling is one of the shortest and smallest tea harvests worldwide and produces some of the most sought after, dazzling teas. Prized for its nuance and quality, Tumsong is always a top pick in our lab. This season we captured the very first plucking, which sings with notes of spruce tip, lilac and green mango. This is a Darjeeling for the ages.
Garden Spotlight: Tumsong Estate was planted in 1867 and has been regarded as one of the best tea estates since. It is planted around a temple and is an open environment for locals to worship above the tea gardens. It is consistently one of our favorite gardens, despite the fact that one of the bungalow rooms is haunted.
Donation: $5 from every tin sold will be donated to Broadleaf.

For best flavor, bring spring or freshly drawn filtered water to a boil (212 degrees). Steep 1 rounded tsp (2.5 g) loose leaf for four minutes while pondering the rotation of the earth.
