Tea ice cubes using single serve sachets

To craft ice cubes using your favorite single serve hot tea sachets follow the instructions below. This recipe can be tweaked to the concentration and amount that you need. For more concentrated flavor, add an additional sachet but use the same amount of water. For more volume, increase water amount and sachet count proportionally.

  1. Bring spring or freshly drawn filtered water to the appropriate temperature (185 degrees for green/white/oolong and 212 or boiling for black/herbal).
  2. Pour 10 oz water over 2 sachets of your favorite tea and steep for the appropriate amount of time for tea type (3 minutes for green/white/oolong and 5 minutes for black/herbal).
  3. Remove sachets and pour concentrate into ice cube tray.
  4. Freeze.
